Our lovely farmhouse

 
This lovely home is a traditional Normandy farmhouse. which has been professionally refurbished to a high standard.  Dating from 1724, it has thick granite walls, ancient beams and a Normandy chimney. These are all the more attractive when they are accompanied by modern equipment and comfortable furniture. It is clean and well-maintained.

There is a large beamed farmhouse kitchen/diner, dishwasher, fridge-freezer,  kettle,  four-plate halogen hob and electric fan oven, microwave/grill,  farmhouse kitchen table, traditional benches and chairs, Radio (Radio 4),  Wall-mounted electric heaters.  Ceramic tiled floor. French window to front.

Downstairs too, up two steps, is a bathroom/utility room with bath, over-bath shower and shower screen, vanity unit ith a large basin, washing and drying machines.

Sitting room (approx. 18’ x 17’ ) with granite chimney, beamed ceiling,  wood-burning stove, wall-mounted electric radiators, tiled floor, central carpet, three-seater sofa, four arm-chairs, French oak dresser, coffee table, table lamp, wine rack, book and DVD library, Satellite television, DVD and CD player, free WiFi, board games, and comprehensive information on the area. TV with 32” flatscreen.

Quarter turn, open-tread, wooden staircase with balustrade to landing leading to two light-filled double bedrooms, They are generously sized, attractive, well furnished rooms each with 4'6"double beds. One  has a vanity unit with hot and cold water, while the other has a folding single bed.  Lightweight duvets and two pillows per person are provided. Bed linen and towels are not included.

Luxurious walk-in shower, lighted vanity unit and toilet across the landing.


Outside
Enclosed, lawned garden with shrubs and plants, gravelled drive with parking for two cars, garden furniture, umbrellas, recliners and barbeque. In the barn is a table tennis table, darts, and badminton raquets. Four mountain bikes are available too. (The sheep are resin and eat no grass, sadly!)

The house is only available during July, August and the first week in September 2012. The cost is £430pw inclusive of all services.
