La Boelle, Champ du Boult
The cottage is situated on a very quiet rural lane, heading out of the hamlet of La Boelle (or Dialot on some maps). There is no passing traffic except for the farmer's tractor a couple of times per week, and a few people walking up the lane to the woodland (and small lake) walk that starts a minute from the cottage.
You will be within easy walking or cycling distance of the closest village - Saint-Michel-de-Montjoie - which is about a mile away and can be accessed on either the main road or a very quiet rural back road. There is a nice little cafe/bar/shop in this village that is open 8-8 on most days and which does a nice coffee and croissant in the morning. Champ-du-Boult is slightly further away, but offers similar facilities.
Look up the Champ-du-Boult village website activities 'Quoi faire'/Things to Do' to see all the visits and activities within about an hour of the village. The English translation is amusing!
Trees and fields are in abundance, and you will always hear the sounds of nature. Cows and horses can be found in adjoining fields, and there are nesting owls in the adjoining barn at certain times of the year.
Look the "Links" page to see where we are in comparison with various tourist attractions in the region - so many are just a short drive away.
